These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation in the Naachi’s People initiative, operated by Naachi Research and Innovation Foundation, a registered not-for-profit organization. By submitting your story, you agree to comply with these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You may participate in the Naachi’s People initiative if:

You are 18 years or older, or have parental/guardian consent if under 18.
You are submitting your own story (self-nomination).
All details provided are truthful and accurate to the best of your knowledge.

2. User Submissions

By submitting your story and any associated content (such as images or videos), you agree that:

You own or have the right to share the content submitted.
You grant Naachi Research and Innovation Foundation a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, publish, display, distribute, or reproduce the submitted content—only if you have given explicit consent via the form.
You retain ownership of your content, and your identity will be credited where appropriate, unless you request anonymity.

3. Use of Content

If you provide consent, we may feature your story on:

Our website(s) and mobile platforms
Social media platforms
Annual publications (digital or print)
Marketing or awareness campaigns aligned with our non-profit mission

We will never sell or exploit your content for commercial gain. You can request removal of your content at any time by contacting us at hello@naachispeople.com.

4. Content Guidelines

Submissions must:

Be respectful and non-discriminatory
Avoid sharing any unlawful, harmful, or misleading information
Not infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or personal rights of others

We reserve the right to moderate, edit, or reject submissions that violate these guidelines.

5. Privacy and Data Handling

All personal data collected through the form is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy (linked on the website and form).

We collect only minimal personal data.
Data is stored securely via Google Forms and internal servers.
You may request data removal at any time.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Naachi website and platforms—including branding, design, and written material—is the intellectual property of Naachi Research and Innovation Foundation, unless otherwise attributed. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or modification of this content is prohibited.

Submitted stories and media, if consented for publication, may be edited for clarity, grammar, or formatting—but without altering the original message.

7. Limitation of Liability

Naachi Research and Innovation Foundation shall not be liable for:

Any false, misleading, or incorrect information submitted by users
Any loss or damage resulting from publication or public exposure of your story (if you consented to it)
Unauthorized access to your data due to reasons beyond our reasonable control (e.g., third-party platform breach)

8. International Use

We welcome global submissions. However, by submitting, you agree to the transfer and storage of your data on servers located in India and/or countries compliant with international data protection norms.

It is your responsibility to ensure that participation does not violate any laws applicable in your jurisdiction.

9. Termination or Removal

Naachi reserves the right to:

Decline or remove any story at any time for any reason
Edit stories (with respect) to fit publication standards
Discontinue the initiative or modify the program structure

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India.

11. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally to reflect changes in our initiative, platform, or applicable laws. Updated terms will be posted on our website with the revision date.
